process: working from costume references and performance themes, I studied the visual language of The Nutcracker to capture the elegance, theatricality and recognizable character traits of both the Prince and the Nutcracker.

solution: I created a set of character-based vector renderings for seasonal promotion. Version one featured the Prince, emphasizing grace and refinement. version two focused on the Nutcracker, highlighting bold, iconic features. A third hybrid version blended traits of both characters to represent their dual identity within the story.

outcome: the illustrations provided the ballet company with versatile promotional assets for their seasonal Nutcracker campaign and collateral materials. the artwork supported marketing consistency across formats and enabled the successful development of a life-size Nutcracker puppet.
